Sanctuary Decaf

Coffee can be an escape. It grounds us (no pun intended) and reminds us there is some semblance of order when it feels like nothing is stable or consistent. Coffee can be a solace. It's also a place where our senses come alive and go on an adventure.  When we need the escape that coffee provides, but can't have the caffeine, There is Sanctuary.

The steam from Sanctuary smells of toasted sugar and browned butter. This deep caramel scent takes over with hints of faint bright crispness. The first sip is seamless. No sharp edges or harsh bitterness. A mellow wave of citrus washes in. Almost like a caramelized meyer lemon. There is a buttery caramel base with a lingering sweet aftertaste of orange zest and caramel that gently fades. 

Sanctuary is made for moments that aren't about waking up, but about staying present. And maybe that's the offering. Not grand or complicated. Just my life poured out like this coffee.

 In the old covenant, wine was poured out to the Lord as its own offering. Right alongside the sacrifice. Not just burned for it's scent but actually poured out and given (Num 28:7). Paul picked up this same theme for his own life, saying he was being poured out as a drink offering. So we are His incense, His drink. His sanctuary. Poured out with love. Because He loved us first.

"Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all."  Philippians 2:17
