The king's blend

Every king has a court, and every morning there is an invitation into it. Before the day begins we first have an audience with the King of kings. Which, when we sit with that for a second, is pretty incredible. 

But here's the part I don't think we consider enough. We are not just in the room as a guest. He didn't just make us subjects. He made us kings and queens as well!  Heirs of His kingdom! Royalty by inheritance and not by anything we earned. That's a different posture to wake up into. Not someone waiting outside the gates hoping to be noticed. But someone who already has a seat at the table because of our adoption through Jesus. 

I wanted this blend to feel like royalty. The steam carries a deep cocoa scent. Like unsweetened baking chocolate. With a heavy sweetness of toasted sugar. Soft vanilla rounds out the scent. Making it balanced and inviting. The first sip is velvety and tastes like sharp cocoa transforming into dark chocolate. Then the carmel notes emerge with the flavor of warm melted toffee. Adding a buttery depth. Vanilla is the last flavor to linger. It is clean and crisp. Each flavor distinct yet blended. Leaving you feeling a little more regal. A cup that doesn't rush. As you entertain the audience of His Majesty. Because that's exactly what those first quiet minutes are. Not a servant reporting in, but royalty sitting down with the King who made you. No crown required. Just a mug, a few minutes and the reminder that you were made to rule and reign with Jesus.
